That was what drew us to Switzerland. We thought we’d live in Zurich. It turned out a bit different.

In 2011, I had the great pleasure of coming to Switzerland as a chorus in a girls’ choir. I came to a competition in Montreux. The French part of the country made a great impression on me. Then I saw that I could live in Switzerland. This happened 12 years later.

M and I chose the German part for various reasons. The language definitely suited us better. But we also thought the job opportunities were better around Zurich. I don’t know how it is in the West, but we live very well here.

Zurich is a very nice city. And for a walk, and for a concert, and for a party. I definitely feel good in this city every time I have the opportunity to visit it. It is a small city, but it attracts huge numbers of people. When I was looking for an apartment, the ones with the Zurich postcode were the smallest and the most expensive. One apartment looked like it had been converted from a garage. For every apartment I looked at in Zurich and its district, there was a queue of about 30 meters just to see it. It was too much for me. I managed to live 25 km from Zurich, in the canton of Aargau. It turned out that the Limmat River, the same river that flows through Zurich, will flow 2 minutes from my apartment. It turned out that I have plenty of places to walk the dog around the area, many hiking trails, viewpoints and many jogging routes.

It couldn’t have been better for me.

Today I am very happy to come to Zurich. Since I don’t live in it, I have nothing against it.
