teacher of the year | music

Good news!

This year I became the teacher of the year for the Audio Ear Training subject on Lessonface!

I am very happy about this and grateful to all my students who trusted me and confided in their musical development.

The most common reaction to the fact that I teach ear training is the question “what exactly is that?”. I’m used to it. Every musician knows what it is. But for amateurs it is a much more complicated question. First of all, it is about developing sensitivity to sounds and their timbre. During classes, we learn to recognize and compare different melodies, rhythms and harmonies. We learn to use all musical skills to solve musical problems, and we learn to use our hearing so that it will be the best musical aid for us in times of need. It is a very difficult subject, the learning of which is really never-ending. You can always get better at ear training. And proficiency with our ear is essential for creating and performing valuable music. Ear training can be started at any stage of music learning. It will always be a good idea if you are interested in comprehensive musical development.

For me, the skills I develop during ear training are like a super power. It gives me an extraordinary amount of musical freedom.

I recommend it to every musician.
