I became completely absorbed in embroidery. The first month was for sketches and ideas. Now I’m moving into embroidery full time. The first stage was this little book. It’s all about the color. It’s a short story. Five photographs from different parts of the world embroidered in such a way as to emphasize their consistency and dissimilarity at the same time. The transition from the first, heavily sunny photograph is made by playing with color. The following photographs show the color relationship between the previous photograph and the next. That’s the brief history of color.
