the little book of sketches 5 – work in progress

Another artistic journal is quietly unfolding. It has been lingering for a while now, as if reluctant to reach its completion. Just a few pages left to collage, a few final words still waiting to be written. It’s coming together – much like I am – slowly, calmly, in its own rhythm. Held together with glue, with thread, and with trust. A fitting metaphor for this recent chapter of my life. I am blooming. Not quickly, but in my own time. And somehow, everything seems to be falling into place on its own.

In this edition, I’ve embraced a wide range of paper experiments. It’s not a traditional photographic sketchbook. This time, there are pure watercolors, abstract forms, mixed media, trials and tests on different types of prints and textures. A blend of various creative impulses, unpolished and exploratory. Its final form is still hidden. It hasn’t revealed itself just yet. It simply needs a little more time.

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of making these journals. I love having them as a record of my artistic process. Just for myself.
