Joanna Skowrońska

is a Polish multidisciplinary artist based in Baden, Switzerland, whose work unfolds at the intersection of music, photography, and education. Drawing on diverse artistic traditions, she combines different media, musical styles, and creative techniques, exploring the relationships between sound, image, and human connection.

She holds an MA in Conducting Vocal and Vocal-Instrumental Ensembles from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and graduated with honours from the Bydgoszcz Academy of Photography Master, specialising in Creative Photography and nineteenth-century photographic techniques. She is a recipient of scholarships from the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education (2014) and the Mayor of Bydgoszcz (2019).

For over a decade, Joanna has worked as a choral conductor, singer, and educator. She conducts the Spirit of Hope choir in Nussbaumen (Aargau) and the Kirchenchor Eschenbach (Lucerne), serves as assistant conductor of Vocalino Wettingen (Aargau), and performs with the ensemble as a soprano. She has performed with choirs across Europe and the United States. Alongside her artistic practice, she teaches singing, ear training, and creativity.

Her photographic work has been featured in Artistic Hub Magazine (Switzerland), Lomography Magazine (Austria), Eye-Photo Magazine (Austria), and the lo-fi photography album Five Minutes Away (Poland). She is best known for the double-exposure series relations and the hand-embroidered photographic series patterns in stillness. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Poland and Switzerland.
