I have long dreamed of living a more analog life. Trying to live that way is not easy. It usually ends quickly, with dissatisfaction and resentment towards myself.

It was January 3rd. I saw on Instagram, that someone was showing his first photo taken with a smartphone in 2024. Then I realized that I hadn’t taken any yet.

And so to this day.

I decided, I even wrote a promise to myself, in which I pledge that 2024 will be the year of analog. In my life every year is like that, but this one will be special. I will remember, and not pull out my smartphone. I will talk, laugh, look at the sky, watch the clouds and stars. I will hug trees and go for long walks. I will be more present.

It is the January 12th. I didn’t take any pictures with my smartphone. No mindless photography. No landscape, no light, no selfie. I remember everything.
